Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM)
KEAM is a state level exam. By qualifing the exam students will get the admission to do Engineering and Pharmacy courses offered by different colleges and institutions in Kerala. The students who are willing to get allotment in medical courses should apply for KEAM and appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). NEET scores are then used for the centralized allocation process for MBBS, BDS, and other medical-related courses in Kerala.
The educational qualifications for KEAM depending on the course you're applying for.
For Engineering (B.Tech) courses
Students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12 or equivalent) from a recognized board or university in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 45% marks.
For Architecture (B.Arch) courses
Students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12 or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects with at least 50% aggregate marks in these three subjects.
Alternatively, students have a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and at least 50% aggregate marks. Students also need to have a valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score.
For Pharmacy (B.Pharm) courses
Students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12 or equivalent) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Students can have either Mathematics or Biology as an optional subject.
For Medical (MBBS, BDS, etc.) and Medical Allied courses
Students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12 or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks. Students also need to have a valid NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score.
